I have a Daphne blue tele in my future. It's one of my 2 favorite colors along with vintage white (banana pudding). I can't decide if I want Maple or rosewood fingerboard. I love the look and feel of both I'm hoping to get some inspiration from your pics!

Yeah all my teles are maple but my strat and Gretsch are rosewood. I am leaning towards rosewood at the moment but...

I'm in exactly the same quandary and while I can't advise, I've found some good sources of inspiring pictures that you might like. You've done a google image search I suppose?

Worth a browse is a 15 page thread that started in March 2017: do a search "Blue guitars love them or hate them." Loads of pics to confuse you further! Sorry I don't know how to post a link to it, but it's easy to find.

Also have a look through posts by rze99 who has a thing for blue teles and has put together some very lovely guitars.

For what it's worth - at present I'm thinking about a thinline in Daphne Blue to go with this Allparts roasted maple neck I treated myself to. Allparts neck.jpg

Maybe that or a darkish tinted maple is an option for you.

Pictures when the choice is made and enjoy the choosing!

I'd like a Fender daphne blue Tele too but there's none new on the market apart from the Nashville model (which I don't want)... What's wrong with that color?

Not a traditional tele, but close enough:

Daphne Teles are as scarce as hen's teeth, and I looked around quite a bit and could not find one, so I ended up getting a Squier deluxe Strat in Daphne. I needed another Strat, anyway. I hope it will be OK to make an exception for a non Tele. This is a really good guitar with one of the best necks I've ever felt, Squier or no Squier...I really like maple with Daphne.

Random partscaster I bought with a Fender MIJ soft-V neck and humbuckers. I added some brass Armadillo knobs and switch tip I had.

So have the Daphne Blue/maple/white pickguard lobbyists convinced you, Bigpernz?

I know I have to have a Daphne Blue in my life soon.

    Although Sonic Blue is pretty...

Honestly, I'm 50/50. The good news is, no matter which I choose, I win because they're all beauties!
