Hey gang! I'm gearing up to install a B5 on my oldest tele—a 2005 Classic Series '60s that I bought new from my beloved local shop during what would turn out to be a pre-closing-the-shop clearance sale. The owner swung me an incredible deal and I think I walked out paying like $400, if that.

Anyways, I'd love to see your Bigsby setups! Even after 12 years of considering installing on, I'm still a little trepidatious about following through. I'm confident a thread of photos would keep me stoked!
As cool as Bigsbys look (and sound)….I don’t think I could change anything on that guitar…that’s gorgeous!

I don't have time for in-depth descriptions right now. Short descriptions, yes.

Warmoth with Lollar CC and OC Duff Plankster, Fender '66 neck and '68 body with old Bardens, MJT with Don Mare Zep-O-Tones, and a custom fully hollow build (CNC-routed from my drawing) with Warmoth bloodwood neck, B16, and Don Mare 0038/TV Jones T-Armond pickups. I painted 1,2, and 4.

Just throwing this out there....

They make pinless B5s now. I don't think it's worth modding existing guitars for, but if I every get around to popping a B5 on something, it'll be pinless.

That's axactly what I was thinking, but I figure the OP can do what he wants with his guitar. I live my Bigsby Tele, but it seems such a shame though to drill into such a great looking guitar that didn't come that way. What a great color!

Bigsbys? Horrible things! If you install one, get a good tuner!

Oooof don’t make me second guess it! I have all the parts. Hard to pull the trigger though

If you wanted to put a Bigsby on your guitar without making any permanent changes to it (I.E. drilling holes) to see if you like it. You might think about installing it with a VibraMate kit. I have decided to mount my Bigsby permanantly at the next string change. I need to source a Bigsby compatable bridge plate first but if you're not in a huge rush, I am planning to sell my VibraMate kit when i do. Let me know if you're interested and maybe we can make it happen. I'm not too far away in Sandy Or.

Cheers...................Todd
