The current lineup of Television is playing here in September. Has anybody seen them lately? Are they worth it? Richard Lloyd isn't in the band anymore, and I wonder if I should just stay home and cherish my memories.

Wow, I'd consider it. Where are they playing? It's funny, I ran across a post by Richard Lloyd on another guitar forum just last month. (the post was dated 2005 but I was trying to figure out a tuning that the B-52s used. He apparently knew/ played with Ricky Wilson)

Heh, it's weird how all the musicians I like seem to have known each other. They're at the 9:30 Club September 6.

I'd go too. How bad could it be? I'm sure it'll cost $15 at the door. Saw Richard Lloyd a few years ago in Ann Arbor and it was a great show. There must have been fifteen people there. He was touring an album of Hendrix covers.

Although I'm of the era, other than their name, I didn't know their music...I saw Lloyd last year & enjoyed the show.

If I were near, I'd go and have a great time. The Marquee Moon album is still in my playlist.

Tom Verlaine is worth it to me. Is Richard Hell even alive anymore?

Just last night my wife was complaining about her sister and I showed her a song (youtube) of something that reminded me of what she was talking about. It was "The Kid With The Replaceable Head" by Richard Hell and Voidoids.

    I say yeah.

I'd definitely go. Saw them back in...well, it was a long time ago, I'm old. They opened a show at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, Pa., near Philadelphia, for Todd Rundgren. I hadn't heard much of their stuff before the show and they blew me away. OK, Todd wasn't bad either...
