Should I drive 2 hours each way to look at this body?

I would not drive that far for a modern production MIA body in that condition. And I can’t tell one way or another if it’s that. I am far from an expert, but I can’t see any markings that would suggest it is vintage.

Hmm, It looks like the horn has been sanded, maybe for comfort ?
I'd spend the money on a vintage neck and then get a new body with fender specs.

Could be the pattern on the carpet playing tricks on mine eyes but that cutaway looks strange. Kind of thin.

Looks like somebody had bigger aspirations than ability and patience. Or, circumstances changed and projects started were not able to be finished. Either way, hopefully something can make something good of it, whether it's s'mores over a well-fed fire or breathe some new life into some guit-fiddles.

OP didn't mention how long he'd been cooped up with the wife and kids. That could be a deciding factor for me.
