I was looking at some vids the other day of different delay settings on a DD-3. One was referred to as a "reverb" type delay within the 50ms range which I thought sounded interesting. Long story short (pun intended), I dialed it in Saturday night and wow! It nails that 50s/Rockabilly sound I've always loved. Formerly I always set my delay in the 125ms range with the regen off to get a single distinct repeat. But to my ears this new setting gives me a great echo that sets so well in a mix and really gives my Tele that old-school feel. If anyone would like to try it for themselves the settings are...
    Level @ Noon
    Feedback @ 3 o'clock
    Delay Time wide open
    and Mode set to 50ms.
And that's the long and short of it.
    Happy Tone Hunting, Rod.

Rockabilly is closest to one repeat at about 115mms. That's the Sun Records sound. But different sounds/tones make sense for other applications. I like a louder repeat in a dead room. And if the room is really dead, I'll even use more feedback.

Yeah, this new setting is probably not the "authentic" Rockabilly sound ...but it sure sounds good! ;)

I'll just call it my 50's echo setting. (since I'm in my 50's now) ;)

My Bad! I looked at the pedal again last night and found my original post was wrong! I got the level and feedback settings reversed.
    Should read...
    LEVEL @ 3 o'clock
    FEEDBACK @ Noon
    TIME @ wide open
    MODE @ 50ms
My sincere apologies for any trouble/bad delay sounds/loss of sleep this might have caused. ;)
