    First thing I do in a hotel room is pull the never-washed sexspread ^H^H^H^H bedspread off the bed ... with my foot.

    Yeah, I think you should inspect your vegetables very carefully, wash them when you get them home, then wash them again right before you throw them away since you never got around to cooking them and they're now too old and withered.

    ++

    [IMG]I recommend the Shorty or Compact buggies, since mothers with children have no use for these and the only people who use them are divorced women under 100 pounds.

    We pack the thing to the brim. It is the only way to keep the bill under $ 100. Use the largest buggies and the stuff won't fit in the car and you just spent $ 250.

    First thing I do with a hotel room is offer it to someone else, then head to a pleasant camp site. Almost 2.5 weeks of Travel Out West - never stayed in a hotel room one night.

    As I mentioned in another recent thread, the first thing I'll do when appointed "King of the World" is to make all grocery store check out lines like the Post Office.....you wait in ONE line, and the next person waiting goes to the next available checker. No more waiting behind the person who doesn't know how to pick items that actually have a readable price tag or doesn't know how to start writing a check BEFORE everything is rung up and bagged.
    But the second thing I will do (two things, actually) is require some kind of sterilizing equipment that shopping carts must go through after retrieval from parking lot, but before being offered to another shopper.....picture a big "box" they must pass through that microwaves or irradiates the cart automatically. The other thing will be to have "service tags" that any shopper can use to take a cart out of service if it doesn't roll straight or correctly. Stores would then have a repair person deal with them (nightly, weekly?) before they can be used again. VOILA!.....no more "wonky" carts!
    If you like my ideas, I'm contemplating running for King in 2020......and I WILL keep my promises, guaranteed! ;)

    At my local Walmart, I usually HAVE to retrieve a cart from the parking lot. I always go in at the Garden Shop, and Walmart has cut staff to the bone, so apparently they don't have an employee to keep carts stocked at the Garden Shop door......

    It had better have an airlock on it. We have one of those toilets with the separate door to that room too. That stuff I put in it could stand flat footed and jump over the great wall of China! I keep a baseball bat in there just in case!

    .

    There was a story about one of the big consumer products conglomerates would send out product surveyors to people's homes back in the 60s, and not too long after disposable diapers were out there a surveyor learned that a stay at home wife was peeling off the outer plastic diaper barrier after the kid used the diaper and wrapping her husband's sandwiches with them.... the surveyor wondered how to contact that guy.

    I keep thinking I'm gonna read about our local WalMart being cleaned out by a band of Truckers from across the boarder and there was no one there to even report it.

    You REALLY ARE a smart guy BB, I can't use one of those, because my wife INTENTIONALLY puts $250 worth of stuff in the cart EVERYTIME. Last time we went to the store, she out did herself, she put a hundred and eighty four dollars worth of stuff in four bags! I would be almost as rich as you are if all the stores in town would have barred her coming to them years ago. Of course they would have all gone broke by now, there is that.

    PS:

    I've never actually seen a cart that clean, has the photo been retouched?

    BTW....when I file with the IRS next year, do I have to say I'm a Walmart employee? After all, if we're retrieving carts from parking lot, cleaning them with sanitary wipes, having to track down all the items we want, and then do our own "self check-out", doesn't that mean we're actually doing Walmart's job?
    And I just THOUGHT I had retired! ;)
