To a woman there is. I always put the seat down.......and the top cover too. If I always have to put it down because they can't remember to look first, I'm going to make them lift the cover first like I have to lift the seat.;)

Back when I was a kid, I used to put folded ketchup packs under the seat post so whoever sat on the seat got ketchup squirted all over their A**.:lol:

Look at all the litter you see by the highway. To me, the best test is the litter test. Do you throw stuff out your car window or otherwise just drop it on the ground rather than find a proper receptacle? If so, you’re a ___________. (Fill in the blank)

I grab the nearest empty one I see ... since I usually have been drinking heavily , it gives me something to help me remain upright...

I thought this thread would be about the rocket surgeons that walk along beside the cart, dragging it by the front of the cart and taking up two lanes of aisle! Now. Get. Off. My. Lawn!

If "everyone" took the opportunity to push 1 cart inside when they arrive to shop, they make a major difference in the number of carts available in the store, and decreases the necessity to send labor out to gather carts.

If "everyone" took the opportunity to push 2 carts inside when they arrive to shop, no carts would ever be on the lot.

Of course, it is unreasonable to expect the aged or infirm to push 2 carts in, but a person who is having some mobility problems might appreciate a cart to walk in with.

Anything is better than the cart just sitting loose on the lot.

When I got a new car I noticed this so much more than I ever did before.

Maybe I should just drive a $200 Geo so I'm not so bothered by all the lazy people in the world...

I put mine up just because I really hate seeing a cart in the parking spot I'm pulling into. I don't want to be " that guy "

I return my cart, and usually at least one stray I pick up along the way.

And people who just abandon theirs by the car and drive off, are almost as low as the people who create annoying websites like the one in the link..
    Just sayin'

Here, they employ people to return carts and clean them down with disinfectant.... before they go inside to the rack... with a hand sanitiser station for shoppers to use before they grab a cart,,,,

who am I to take their work off them....;)

What would happen to the folks that are employed to bring in the carts? Would the wages saved by the grocery stores result in lower prices to the public? BTW (I say in my best get off my lawn voice), what ever happened to customer service at a grocery store? The stores I used to go to had an employee that brought your groceries in the cart out to your car. Recently, I went to an upscale grocery store her in Oaktown and the checker started checking me out. She put a double bag on the lane and said, "you can start bagging your groceries".... I have to admit I was appalled. For the prices I pay at that particular store they should be bagging the haul. If I wanted to bag my own, I'd go to a cheap store where I knew what I was getting into.

I take the cart back. I see it as a pact. The store provides me a method of collecting the goods I wish to purchase, and, in return, I place the cart back in the rack when I'm done. Anything less is not agreeing to the pact.

on toilet seats--> we have boy's bathroom and girl's. One is up or down depending on previous uno or dos and the other is down.

It is a great luxury to have two restrooms.. I am deeply grateful.

If I get a good parking spot close to the rack, I'll take it back.... :D

I think the kids enjoy getting out of the store for some fresh air to collect trolleys....they probable have a system where everyone has a turn ....

though lately they have a person who wipes trolleys and fridge handles, etc.. all day in the store.... often a smiling happy young kid who's glad to get some work... :)

Always return mine. And you can tell which one was mine because it’s the one that makes so much noise people are craning their necks to see who’s making all of the racket.

This is not groundbreaking science. Generally, people can be easily separated into two groups based on observations of their behavior over time:

A: Considerate of others and not lazy

    B: Selfish and lazy

The store named ALDI's figured out how to reinforce the return of shopping carts. You insert a quarter in a mechanism on the cart to unlock it from the other carts. But the quarter can't be removed until it's returned to the other carts.
