Hey 'Lost,' I was at your house in Austin, ~2005 or so when I bought some stuff.
    Hope you are well.

The east side that all the minorities were chased out of and is now mostly yoga studios, juice bars, and people on electric scooters?

To be fair, the minorities were chased out of Clarksville, Wheatville and Barton Springs first.

Hope it's just coincidental.....but of the three guys you just mentioned, two of them took their own lives. My grandfather left Virginia to come to Ft Worth in the early 1900's.
And I agree...Virginia is beautiful. (and isn't it for lovers?)

Bill Kirchen still frequently haunts northern Virginia honkytonks.

Roy Clark was from DC. Same for Evan Johns.

Crap. One of our reasons we go to Austin in the first place. Isn't that where Cindy Cashdollar is living these days Would love to see them together again.

Cindy Cashdollar lives in Woodstock New York and is active on Facebook. My avatar is a Redd Volkaert poster with her autograph on it with Redd and Nate Rowe signatures. Bill Kirchen lives in Austin but travels a lot and it would not surprise me to see Bill and Redd show up in the Northern Virginia Area at the Birchmere. Redd will likely be playing some shows in Austin with Bill Kirchen toward Christmas. I may have make a trek back there for that.

We're probably gonna end up moving to Austin, instead of near the coast. Pleases the wife and all.

My only hope is that due to global warming, maybe we'll end up close to the coast in another 10 or 20 years.

There's only one "true" music city left and we all know where that is... Southern hospitality will always squelch the phoniness brought on from the outside.

LA and NYC are yesteryear and left to Bro Bankers and Tech Bros. Austin died in the 2000s as said Bro Techies moved there and exchanged roper boots for yoga pants and oat milk.

By the time I heard Austin was the place to live, I figured it was already over. That was 10 years ago. Recently my son asked if he should move to Austin or Raleigh NC. I said Raleigh, by far. The masses are just getting started there. God speed Redd Volkart. I can steal those chord progressions via YouTube so I'm good.
