Anyone have any opinions good or bad about shipguitars.com? About to ship an acorns the standard 3 options are insane.

No idea they existed. Seems like they ship you packing materials, you pack, then they 'help you call UPS'. Then they help you track it with UPS? It's like all they are doing is sending you shipping boxes. The rest you could very easily do.

Seems like you could do the same if you just got ahold of some packing materials. Befriend your local guitar shop and ask them for guitar boxes, buy some bubble wrap, and there you go.

I have not even looked at it, a friend asked me about it. I guess I should look myself. Lol

I just looked at the site and they ship it for you. UPS wants $72, they want $52.

Never heard of it. It's interesting to me that no has chimed in that has heard of them.

The website makes zero claims that would lead me to believe they are anything other than a middle man sponging up money.

I'm pretty confident that the biz model is:

1: ask you about the size of the instrument.
2: over charge you for the packing materials
3: take a cut on the shipping as a reseller
4: send you on your way

Started down the path of using them and suddenly the $52 became $84. Stay away.
