I have half a mind (I could stop there but I won't), to do a really sloppily played and croaky voiced cover of the Dead version of this song. Don't any one try and talk me out of it either. LOL
    Code:
    C G F C
Ship of fools on a cru el sea
    C G F Am
Ship of fools sail a way from me

Could it possibly stand up any better for this day and age?

My first Grateful Dead album, I bought in 1976.

    * if you turn( i think it's the back) the cover, turn upside down, and face it at a mirror,
the graphics writing spells "Ugly Romors"

Haha! I wore the grooves out of that record. Very under rated album. Didn't know all that cover info though.

An upper classman ( boarding school) that I used to hang out with had Mars Hotel on his car Stereo ( 1975 Javelin/AMX!) 8-track.

So that's where I got the idea to get the album later

    * that Weir " Money Money Money" song is terrible!

no better rock and roll band than the Dead. I guess when the cosmos merge Jerry Garcia and Bob Hunter, you're going to get the greatest rock n roll band ever. Here's a sample of my opinions, Jerry is the greatest guitar player ever, for numerous reasons. If you can't agree with that, then certainly you can agree that he's my most favorite guitarist ever. Robert is one of the greatest lyricists ever. Not the best as that would be Bob Marley but right up there with Bob. But it really took Jerry to take Robert's lyrics, change then around and edit, when needed, and then come up with the music. If it were not for the music and the chords used and the melodies, those lyrics would not be quite the same. I know Robert had music at times with his lyrics but it came down to Jerry's musical genius. He mastered the guitar, he mastered singing, he mastered performing and he mastered songwriting. Unfortunately he loved to smoke heroine. Miss Jer!!!!!!
