    Hi all,
I got my Tele finished up the other day, here's few pics, hope you like. It started off as a cheap copy bought on a whim, that ended up with just the body and bridge plate used. Silver flaked, candy stained & cleared neck.
Made the aluminium plates and had a guy engrave them, I added a modded pendant and brass rivets.
Love those lipsticks... still got the Tele clang and spank but that lipstick chime thing there as well.

Burning up to make another Tele, but from scratch, so I'm router shopping and soaking up the build threads here...
    Cheers.

Nice work! Personally, just a little too "blingy" for my tastes (for me that's sparkle finishes in general), but I do like the "musicman" style PG. It works well. The neck looks amazing with the candyapple finish.

Wow, if that ever gets into the stage spotlight, some in the audience are gonna lose their eyesight

Your engravers work is very impressive, and the whole guitar is amazing!

+1 on the neck. Would love to know what you did to get the effect.

Have always been a sucker for an engraved guitar since seeing Ronnie Wood play with the Faces in the early 80's. A very nice guitar you have there, a shame the stunning grain on the back of the neck will be hidden most of the time. Who did the engraving for you?

Here is my engraved thinline tele, work was done by Phil Cooper of Sheffield, his website is www.engravedguitars.com. Like yours it always draws plenty of comment when I gig with it, such that no-one seems to notice my James Burton telecaster anymore.

Thanks for the nice words, much appreciated!
It's a home one really rather than one to gig I guess, I had a few plain working Teles and sort of kept going the other direction.
The engraver is a guy who goes by the handle of Neo Dutch, I 'met' him on a custom bike forum. He's in Oz, somehow I failed to find UK engravers - even that one bettyseldest (thanks for the link). Your guitar is fabulous!

The neck was a cheaper flame maple with the random markings and just a bit of even tiger-striping on the edge of the headstock. I did a black stain and sanded back - at first I was going for a transparent black lacquer but it didn't look too great so I wiped it all off while still wet... So then red candy neat as a stain, sanded again. Then red candy clearcoat. The random patterns turned out in it's favour, by chance not judgement...

I love it! Especially like how the gold lipsticks work with the brass saddles - nice.
Usually the big cowboy belt buckle is on the back of the guitar, grinding holes into the finish.

Very nice guitar, especially like the hand engraving job. Please some close-ups for me. The sound is interesting, and your playing is really good. Thanks for posting.

I love flake, and that engraving's awesome, but the hardware seems to be begging for more contrast with the body, like a black or gunmetal flake....
