I still have her music! Superb guitar tones, whether she was playing them or her lead guitarist. A great ear for matching tone to mood.

Yes! I think her studio musicians were unbelievable. I hear her songs, and they are just top notch quality... Her voice is great. I hear her influences in country western singers and Bob Dylan, yet more pop centered, with an edge of rock. Classic music... I never took her that seriously until I saw some behind the scenes with her and realized how many good songs she and her band produced over the years.

I can definitely hear some insane tones from teles, strats, gibs... good amplifiers, in every song...

Good guitar player. Great at the art of crafting a song. Bonus points for being easy on the eyes :D

The World of music could use more like her right now. She's a fine talent.

Yep. Great songs. Great guitar too, mostly compliments of her lead guy, Peter Stroud (who also happens to be one of the founders of 65 Amps). Overall great production values.

"The Globe Sessions" is solidly in personal my Top 10 list.

She plays a decent bass too - as well as piano...

I liked Sheryl. I'm not sure I'm digging here attempt to be Country though. She had a kinda unique thing going on before. I learned this one just before the pandemic, haven't done it live.

"When I first started writing, I wanted to be a great writer, and so I started studying Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell. But the biggest influences on me were James Taylor and Carole King, mainly because they landed somewhere between R&B and folk, and I could relate to it because I was playing the piano mostly." So maybe she was more into folk than country... I do hear Dolly in her voice somewhat though.

One if my favorites; some time ago, I was stuck in a deep rut, bad relationship, dead-end job in Oklahoma and her songs and music helped me get through it all.
Some of her more recent albums did not appeal to me as much, but she’s still totally amazing.

We cover this one in our band. I suggested it BECAUSE of the guitar tone :)

I used to sing it as a male lead with some lyric changes. One of the girls has taken it over. Everyone seems happy now.

Sheryl was one of the singers in the China Club house band I played in, 1989 - 91. Besides everything else everyone else has already mentioned about her, she's also a really cool person. I always used to love hanging out and talking with her.
