My friend was cleaning out his shed and came across his old guitar that he bought new back in the day. I thought you guys would enjoy seeing it. _20201119_135613.JPG _20201119_135527.JPG

I plugged it in, but the pots and switches very dirty. So I'm going to give it a good once over and clean the pots switches etc, new strings, polish the frets and check the set up for him. I'll let you know how it goes.

Late 60s, Sears catalog, made in Japan, I’m sure. Headstock is the same as many Silvertones of that era. Switches scream Teisco.

Reminds me of my first guitar.. Look for a better bridge as that one can not be intonated,

Those pickups look like the valve covers from a Shovelhead. Cool.

that is exactly like the first electric I ever played. It belonged to a friend who had no interest in learning guitar, so he let me borrow it until I could afford my first Harmony.

Are they actual humbuckers or just a single coil with a fancy cover?

I haven’t seen those pickups yet, thought I’d seen most of em
