I am cool with it. Always had a shed-garage-bandroom. Why not one for the ladies..looking at listings to buy a house soon..just saw it written up== She shed-workshop..kinda chuckled..

She sells seashells by the she shed?
Anything that keeps the "little lady" out of the music room is a good idea. ;)

I think the concept of a lady having her own space for her hobbies is perfectly appropriate. No problem there at all. My beef is with the term "she shed"... I hate it, it makes me cringe. I think it is because "she" is being used as an adjective, which it is not... Just sounds stupid and contrived.

You didn’t need an apostrophe after “shed”. The shed doesn’t possess anything.

I'm in an HOA, so no out buildings. Fortunately, I have 2000 ft^2 upstairs and 2000 ft^2 downstairs, so the line is clear and undisputed. Only one area is cheshire ;)

If you are married to a woman, then at least 90% of the house is already a "she shed".

I like the idea of a his and hers shed positioned at opposite ends of the yard.

the wife doesn't need a she shed. She already has the house. It's the husband who needs a private spot of his own.

My wife plays bass and we have one small room for the recording studio, practice area. Do we call it a she-he shed?

    No.

I’ll alert the womens that the TDPRI guys approve of their outbuildings.

Broad huts !? You really think you can say that ?

This kinda reminds me of another forum, many years ago, where there was a reference to "deer sheds". I was not familiar with the term....thought maybe it was where a deer was "dressed" after being hunted, or something to do with that. Turns out, it was simply deer antlers that fall off (shed) in certain seasons. I still picture a building of sorts in my mind when I hear "deer sheds".

Exactly this! And Mrs. Idjster even has a studio to do her art in. I'm relegated to the garden shed!

My wife and I each have our own spaces in the house for our hobbies. I've got a home office/library/music room and she's got what she calls a craft room for her embroidery/sewing/cutting/etc. The garage is full of things like bikes for the kids so I don't really have a place to do wood work or carpentry for the time being, and the shed out back is full of lawn equipment and pool toys.
