I envy those who can wet shave.

Been using an electric razor for 30+ years.

And the face is generally still somewhat irritated all the time...:(

Fry an egg sunny side up. Let it cool and then place it over the wound. It won't do anything but I'll need a picture...

I take blood thinners and when I get a cut, no matter how tiny, it never stops on it's own. I usually put a small dollop of vaseline on it and that seals it well enough keep it from seeping till it does stop in an hour or so...

Great story. Shaving cuts always seem to happen worst times. Never seem to happen when I have a day of yard work or chores. I once went to a trial with two pieces of toilet paper stuck to my face!!! Cut my self in the morning and was in a hurry to be on time. Slapped on the toilet paper to stop the bleeding and forgot!! The judge called a side bar with me and the opposing counsel to inform me that they were still there! No wonder the bailiffs and other court staff were giggling at me as I walked into the court room. Oh well it happens to all of us. Thanks for the Easter

That's no laughing matter..You need to learn why the bleeding won't stop..
I was taking a lot of blood thinner meds for a long time and every little scratch would start a river..
I found that a folded (several times) paper towel would eventually stop it..

Ouch! It will stop eventually (you’ve only got so much blood in there).

I somehow manage to nick the edge of my nose once in a while, I guess not wearing glasses while shaving, and it bleeds forever. What evolutionary purpose the sides of your nose would have to bleed profusely I don’t know.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Any wound on your head bleeds a lot, in my experience.

I have been wet shaving for over a year. I use my Gillette Fat boy to get a great shave. No nicks or burns. Use a good shaving cream. Check out Badger and Blade or Maggards Razor or Razor Emporium.

I switched to a double-edge safety razor years ago. Best decision I ever made. Only one blade per side, but it shaves incredibly close, I have far less cuts and can buy blades much less expensively. Plus, I typically get 3-5 shaves per side. That's 6-10 shaves per blade. And there's less waste. Yes, you can still cut yourself with a safety razor, but it's harder, especially if your razor has a nice weight to it (you don't have to press, just guide it over your face) and especially if you use a good brush-applied shave cream. Cartridge razors are a rip-off and a scam. More blades does not equal a better shave.

One of the copies of the Merkur Futur adjustable double-edge razor and set it to 1.

You can buy two years’ worth of top quality blades for under $9.

Get a sensitive skin shaving soap or use aqueous cream.

That's the right idea but I prefer a flamethrower. It's my solution to a lot of things:eek:

I learned on one of those double edge razors of my step dads. I didn't know there was any others for years.

I also belong to, or at least did, to Dollar Shave. Crikey they bombarded me with razors upon razors even when I chose the every other month delivery. I had to permanently stop/quit. 3 years later & I still have a bag of blades.

I never understood the multi blades. The leading blade will dull sooner and the rest wont matter after that. And as mentioned, too much surface contact. Jeebus.

I don't get the tilting/pivoting head either. I like having control over the blade angle.

Shaving in the shower, or immediately out of is the only way for me.
