I wanted more of the vintage twang out of my American Deluxe and the stock noiseless and gen 1 SCN pups didn't cut it for me.

I ordered a set of the Duncan Vintage Stack pups, and installed them this afternoon. They are exactly what I was looking for, all the twang from the bridge, quack of the middle position and warmth from the neck. And they are DEAD quite too. I still haven't shielded the control cavities yet and no buzz or hum.

They sound equally great through my 68' DRRI and Marshall DSL40.

Very pleased. If anyone else is on the search, my first impressions are very positive. If you try them, I hope that you have the same luck I did.

I have that set at home. I bought for a partscaster that I built but put a set of bootstraps in there instead, just because I was so curious about bootstraps

Now I got a reason to build another partscaster
