Jason Casey 2001 rochester/Detroit. I thought originally the guys name was Jason Casey so I tried figuring out who he was and eventually came across seven Mary three who I’ve never heard of before. In the band there’s a Jason Rose Rhythm guitar and Jason pollock lead guitar. But Casey Daniel would of been base. But the band was in Rochester New York and Detroit Michigan in 2001. What do you guys think?

Nobody named Jason Casey was ever in the band.

I would assume that the sticker means some guy named Jason Casey of Rochester and Detroit either owned the guitar or worked on the guitar in 2001.

Their guitarist played a tele as I recall, but I don't see a connection to the band from the label.

It may become 'cumbersome' to establish such a relation.

Seven Mary Three is a name I haven't head in years and even in the late 90's they were a flash in the pan. Not sure what the OP is asking for specifically though.

Looks like a kitchen-table guitar tech named Jason Casey performed some modificatus electronicus [translation: "electricious altercations"] to that guitar c.2001, wrote it on a piece of masking tape, and stuck it on there.

I am diggin' the 'PEECHI green' cap!

Also: the earth is actually round, and we did go to the moon ;)

I like that song “Cumbersome” a lot...but I don’t know if I have ever heard another song by them...I wasn’t even aware that they did “Cumbersome”!!

By the way, when I disassemble a guitar, pedal, amp, etc., I’ll often sign or initial inside that item in an inconspicuous place, in order to establish that it’s been modded or repaired and also if the item gets stolen, it’s there in living color that this item belongs to me.

Water's Edge is an even better tune. The intro is similar to Kryptonite, by 3 Doors Down.

Ok, now I remember two songs by them...and I like them both.

I guess I need to go revisit their catalog.

Those of you who are old enough remember the biker cop show "CHIPS". The cops were Ponch and Jon. Jon's code name when talking on the radio/CB was 7 Mary 3.

Zoom in on the wiring picture. Jason Casey is/was not a pro. Pretty sloppy. Making an association between this guitar and the band Seven Mary 3 is a stretch. The connections the OP attempts to make are not even connections, that's whats bizarre about it. The band is from Virginia. I'm guessing Jason Casey was from Rochester, Michigan and put that tape in there with his name and the year on it in case someone stole his guitar. I realize the external modifications make this guitar pretty easy to identify - but in 2001, it might have been stock looking.

Also, this looks to be a MIM tele from around 2000. Someone removed some of the headstock decal. They removed the serial number that should be below the "Fender" and removed the "Made in Mexico" which should be below the "Telecaster"

they had a song called “Lucky” that was a pretty decent song and hit, and “Water’s Edge”. But yeah, “Cumbersome” got played to death when mtv used to play music videos.

Yeah that absolutely looks like the kind of thing someone might put in their guitar so it could be ID'd if it were stolen.

The fact that the serial number is gone suggests it may have been.
