Seriously...why side-mounted DC jacks???

Every time I put one of my MXR or T-REX pedals on the board I have to mess with cable lengths/re-routing.

Is there a reason they can't put them at the "top" of the pedal like most everyone else?

I don't know how much more of these 1st-world problems I can take. :(

It would be even better if they put all the jacks at the top of the pedal instead. But yep,

    Lol

Best layout is input and output jacks on the sides, and DC jack at top.

Hate it when they're right next to each other. Why MXR!

I choose to suck without pedals, a lot less heartache that way.

Annoying as hell for sure, gets a quiet curse out of me regularly.

Gotta shift to the board style with the gap down the middle so the patch and power cables all go down under.
I just painted four 22" pieces of strapping last week to make up a pedaltrain style board.

I agree it seems dumb. Maybe they bought into a board design and can’t change it?

They save space on top if you have 90 degree power jacks. It's faster to connect if they're all on top, but not a real problem. My cables are not too short.

On my pedaltrain Metro I used to try and stack two rows of pedals: the side mounted jacks were perfect for that, whereas the ones with top mounted jacks were a nightmare to fit.
And when both the jacks and the power are top mounted (like on EQD pedals for example), I almost cannot fit my patch cables that have « pancake » plugs.

The side is fine with me as long as it’s not on the bottom right corner below the input jack; that’s just silly.

Agree. Very annoying. Especially when right next to one of the jack sockets.
