The link states: figured knotty pine top with a 4-ply brown shell pickguard and solitary F-hole on a fully chambered, 2-piece roasted pine body.
The link description is B S.

Where is the solitary F - hole on the guitar pictured in post#1 of this thread. ;)

A heavy relic CS Broadcaster is the same price....it is ballpark for all things Custom Shop for reasons that I will NEVER understand.

It is not a bad look to me, if that was somebody's partscaster I would say it was pretty cool, well done. The fact that Fender feels it is worth $5400 is not going to get that same response. It is pretty cool, but nothing screams worth more than $1,400 to me.

I could see that happening, yeah...
I've heard of cooks betting to see if they can make a guest eat a dishrag and like it.
As someone who spent most his working life in kitchens. I haven’t seen that one. But I’ve seen my share of stuff. We live about 20 mins from the big casino in Durant Oklahoma. People rave about that buffet. I know enough cooks there to know I don’t wanna eat there lol.

Sweetwater really hosed up the description. Sometimes they describe two WRHB's, there's no mention of the Bigsby, and no mention of pine in the initial description. Copypasta for the wrong guitar.

Looks to me like they sliced a plank for book matched sets and either dropped a page between these two, or glued the matched face to the body blank. (50 years as a professional woodworker...)

But is that a genuine Figsby Tailpiece? (or is it Frisbee?)

The only thing that could make it worse is if they said the body was made from "Naughty Pine."

I still have nightmares of knotty pine furniture, kitchen cabinets and wall paneling from the 70's. Bletch! 🤮

The house I grew up in was like that and it was a good bit older than the 70's! Although that all got renovated away over the years, to no one's tears. My current house has that paneling in the TV room but fortunately we almost never turn the lights on in there. It needs to be "renovated away" one of these days.

Every time someone goes on and on about how cool looking Pinecasters are it makes me a little queasy thinking about it.

Remember the avocado green kitchen appliances, bathroom sinks and toilets? Burnt orange shag carpet? Wood barrel chairs? Bean bag chairs? and host of other horrors that were considered groovy?

Apparently, the concept of proofreading is in short supply at Sweetwater. My favorite feature listed for this guitar is:

“lawless” playability…

Which perhaps is even better than flawless playability and certainly worth 5,000 folding beer vouchers all by itself.

Wildwood has one and the description is much better. It is listed at 5400 but I do know they give you a better deal. Which is why I have always gotten mine from them. In fact prepare for a NGD soon and maybe 2 being there is another one I am seriously thinking about getting.
