I was just watching Zombieland Double Tap and thought about it being at least as good as good as the original.
    Besides Z-Dt.

    Red 2
    Grumpier Old Men
    Johnny English Reborn
    Young Guns II

Seems like I was thinking I'd several others before I started this thread.
    What else am I missing?

The Jason Bourne series is pretty good if you like that sort of thing.

It starts with, “The Bourne Identity” and goes on through a bunch of movies, “The Bourne Colonoscopy” and all sorts of stuff. I can’t remember the names.

But they’re all worth a watch. We watched, “The Bourne Identity” the night before last and the second one last night. Number three is up tonight.

We’ve seen them all before, but we like them so we’re having another go.

As far as storyline and being better movies than the original goes, there are only two imo.

Godfather II and Empire Strikes Back.

Once you figure out what's going on, Godfather II is at least as good as the first one.

Not sure if Empire Strikes Back is a "sequel", as it's really #2 in a trilogy, but I'd count that one also.

[EDIT: I just noticed that someone above me said the same thing.]

Wrath of Khan is WAY better than the first Star Trek movie.

Search for Spock was “as good as the original” (in other words, pretty bad!).

    Agreed.

Here's one...Jumanji: The Next Level was every bit as good as 'Welcome To the Jungle, IMO.

While I liked the original Predator and still re-watch it once in awhile, I liked the recent reboot pretty well for a fun action movie with a few good gags in it. I thought Sterling K. Brown was an inspired casting decision too.

Also, @jvin248 chimes in above with a post that supports my theory that there’s a correlation between owning kick-ass one-humbucker custom rock machines and having good taste in badass fun action movies.

Loved the Bourne series. I'd love to see a Bourne vs Bond, I bet Bourne would win, against all odds.

Your Bourne Colonoscopy sequel wins the day though.

When it comes to Bourne I watch whichever of the first 3 is on.

    “Part 2” isn’t a sequel; it’s the rest of the movie! ;) :D

"Old Men in New Cars" was actually better than "In China They Eat Dogs" .

Both are Danish crime capers and no there's no scenes of banned Chinese cuisine :D

Evil Dead II is up there with the original.

The one with Jeremy Renner is pretty damn exciting! He is a badass, and his companion Dr. Is beautiful!

I think it was The Bourne Legacy (?)

Far superior to The Pink Panther. They should have made more Clouseau styled different mystery movies, and not try so hard to link them all to the first one.

    Talk about your square pegs.
