Madonna's video for "Material Girl" was influenced by Marilyn Monroe.

When Madonna was in the movie A League of Their Own, her character played center field and wore number 5. Joe DiMaggio played center field and wore number 5 and was briefly married to Marilyn Monroe.

I've read that Joe DiMaggio placed flowers on her grave once a week until he passed 20+ years later.

Such an amazing band! I'm sorry there's not more material available of Gary Moore's time with them.

When I saw Thin Lizzy play in Atlanta in the late 70's, I believe Brian Robertson was stuck in jail and Gary was coerced to join the tour. I vividly recall Gary and Scott Gorham sharing leads. It was a good show! Steve Marriott and the Allstars were the opening act!
