That is a rare picture. Lennon with his Epi Casino but not wearing glasses.

He's wearing the same suit and playing the same guitar as when I saw him in August 1966 in Memphis TN. But when I saw him he had begun to wear glasses.

That was dated 1966 and was taken in D.C. on what was their final tour I believe.

That guy was very lucky to be able to take pictures of the Beatles.

When I saw them in Memphis, there was a rule (probably in a concert rider) that no one have a camera or take pictures. Your camera would be confiscated and you would be escorted out. I saw several young ladies escorted from the concert, weeping bitterly, their cameras in the hands of the security guards escorting them out.

This reminded me of when I was going to Red Rocks to see Tom Petty and the Black Crowes and my friends who had been there many times said I can't bring my nice camera in as it will be confiscated at the gate, and we had parked a long way away. We get to the gate and people are walking right through with cameras, bags, on and on unchecked.

It was a beautiful night and we were just up high enough to see the city lights over the stage as the sun sets. And later during Petty, lightning over Denver. I was so bummed.

Thankfully someone had posted a bunch of nice shots from the show online that evening.
