    Hello, all...
Well, as the title states I'm seeking solutions for remedying the backbow in a one-piece maple Tele neck.

With the truss rod fully loose and setup with either 9s or 10s the neck is either perfectly straight or perhaps a smidge backboard.
It is a vintage style Tele with only a one way.truss rod.

Surely there are some home remedies for correcting this situation...right???

I'm willing to listen to any/all thoughts and opinions on this matter, so, y'all fire away...!!!

    ETA:
I mentioned above the situation with string gauges 9 and 10.

I prefer this guitar setup with 9-42 strings and with straight neck/low action.

The backbow issue is very slight, but JUST enough to cause issues.

Sure, I could....u know, but then I wouldn't be able to play it.
I wear my guitar slung low, so logs are out, due to my arthritis.
Like I said, I need it set up with 9-42s.

At any rate, I followed the link to the other thread and followed peegoo's advice of loosing the truss rod and tuning up to f or f# for 5-6 days.
(I tuned it to G actually)

So, I'll report back with the results...

How much is a smige? With the t/r loose and string off how much back bow do you really have? Are the frets perfect? Can you dress the back bow out by leveling? If you can't then you probably need to pull the frets, level the board and refret it (remember that there is a slight chance compression will put a bit of back bow back in.

I make my f/b's perfectly flat, then fret and level the frets perfectly flat. String tension almost always pulls a couple of thousands of relief, I can use the truss rod to control that.

Apparently that's a myth and SRV never used them anyway.
