Been playing tubescreamers my whole life, tried many MANY of the ‘standard’ overdrives and haven’t been able to get onto any of them. I’m really thinking something along the lines of a Mythos Chupacabra, Greer Lightspeed or even a Keeley D&M Drive.....

anyone have a “non standard” overdrive they really like? All suggestions are welcome. Not really stuck on any particular thing, just something different from tubescreamers

I'm not really sure what fits in to 'non standard' but I like a Timmy.

    What amp do you use?

Currently using a katana, but don’t use the built in effects. I’ve had all kinds of tube amps but lately I’ve really been leaning toward the ss amps now. I really want to check out the new fender “tone master” range.
I totally forgot about the Timmy! I hear those are great!

They aren't super easy to come by in Canada, but because of that they sell well on the used market if for some reason you don't like it.

Is a Boss OD-3 "non-standard"? I try others but keep coming back to it.

I'm very happy with the Fulltone OCD.

Second the Timmy. I built a double Timmy for my board, can do just about anything with it.

Have you tried the JHS Morning Glory? That’s the next pedal on my list.
