Ever since I made the mistake of Googling "Gibson Explorer Traditional Pro" after @no doz NGD post, this guitar has been making regular appearances everywhere I go online.

Yeah ... cookies ... even I know better. Usually, I remember to use "New incognito tab" when searching for such things.

I'm in no way making light of that situation. I certainly hope they find him soon.

Maybe that guitar is not so subtly calling out to you.

Buy me. Take me home. Buy me. Take me home.

Oh it sort of is, in a way, since I don't have a rocker in my collection. My woman has been okay so far, and surprisingly so after knowing how much I spent on that Caddy Green Thinline. I'm not going to push my luck, and that is not exactly a guitar I can sneak in under the radar.

You're looking for a lost Explorer?

    Dr. Livingstone, I presume.

Google search technology is advancing at a snails pace, so much of the stuff that floats to the top is random turds.
Based on who paid for search priority I guess?

I'm often amazed at how poor the searches are when new news arrives and it finds old crap that has a couple of keywords but misses the exact search and current time.
But they always remember to brag about massive number of hit in milliseconds.

Is there an 'e' missing here, or did I miss the reference?

It's a rehash of old news. You must have been under a rock the past month.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Gabby_Petito

When the couple dropped of the radar, and she was reporting missing, it gained a lot of attention on social media, and ultimately national and international media coverage. There is sociopolitical debate about the reason the case has attracted so much attention, which we can't discuss. One fact is, however, that she had a significant online presence with a lot of followers. She had posted an overwhelming amount of video of herself documenting their travels.
