I decided to buy a sea foam green Vintera body (60s modified) and the pickups, controls and electronics from a Fender Ultra Tele. This combined with a maple player series neck, Fender locking tuners and mint green pickguard from the same ultra resulted in an awesome looking and sounding guitar.

The sea foam green Vintera comes with a pau ferro neck, but I found a beautifully grained player series neck that looked fresh with it.

All parts were new from Stratosphere. I’m from the UK and it worked out a good deal including delivery and import fees. Roughly around what a Vintera Modified would have cost new.

    Looks good.

I think a single ply black guard would look 10X better, though.

Hi, I’m not a big fan of single ply and I’ve got a black pickguard on my candy apple red Baja, so this one adds variety :)

I like the guitar just as it is. Don't change a thing.

Nice work! Is that a metallic finish?

Hi, thanks. It’s just standard with a reflection from the lamp :)

Have you seen the Mystic Surf Green Metallic finish on the new Am Pro Teles? The most stunning!

I’m not a fan of surf green but the mystic metallic one is really cool. I’ve got one of the new Am Pros but went with dark night, rosewood neck, and replaced black pickguard with mint green. Oh and that ones a Strat!

For me both greens suit a Tele way more than a Strat.

Hi, I think they sound awesome. It seems people either love noiseless or hate them. They maybe have a bit of a stigma from purists and previous versions. I’ve got a Nashville Tele which have them too (gen3) and the vintage noiseless in the ultra sound even better. For me they have totally nailed the tech. I still love my Nashville :)

Whew!!, now that’s out of the way, back to scheduled content

Thanks for the review and reply on the noiseless!! Glad they seem to be getting “closer” to whatever that should be!

I remember first gen”noiseless” single coils were sort of what the Lace Sensors were touted as back in the day…:)

I’ve never considered tortoiseshell because I’m not usually a fan, but it looks very cool on yours :)

I’ll maybe have a go with a tort on one of my tele’s that might look cool with it. On my purple one could be interesting!

I wish more T-types came with the maple fretboard neck instead of the darker woods. It's just too costly to replace the neck on a partscaster for my level/budget of projects. Looks SO much better.

It’s cool when you get it right. I like the colors. What a great combination. I’m also a fan of the newer noiseless pickups. My avatar Telecaster started out as a Nashville, the older one with Tex-Mex pickups. I bought a Gen 4 loaded pickguard from Stratosphere. The guard itself wasn’t a match for my neck so I found a Fender aged white pickguard to match the dots on the neck. It’s just wonderful when everything comes together for you and you get the guitar of your dreams without breaking the bank.
