Jets to Brazil. Anyone else like the sound of this guitar?
I can't get beyond indifference regarding that
I gave it 43 seconds. Not my thing either.
I mean, there's nothing wrong with it.
it's also nothing special at all, IMO
the synth or whatever towards the end was a more interesting tone
I get it, different strokes. I tend to like a lot of music that utilizes spacing like this song does. I also like Spoon, they utilize that style a good bit too.
stylistically i dig it
tone-wise... yes, that's a guitar.
It is a guitar but which saturates a bit according to the attack. I guess.
but...don't they all, pretty much?
Sounds like the guy from Cracker (the singer). Guitar tone is okay, P90s?
I don't know, doesn't it depend on the plectrum you are using ?
I mean, you can vary your attack (and hence the saturation) using just your fingers
That certainly contributes to the overall sound of a guitar.
Trouble is these days, if it doesn't hook me in straight away, then it won't work for me. I'm probably too fickle I suppose.
I totally get that! That is actually how I usually am as well. This one stayed on while I was streaming and after it played a bit, I just kinda dug it.
Not sure, could be. Hard to find any gear info on the band. Not even sure who the guitarist is for certain, but appears it may be Blake Schwartzenbach (sp?) who co-founded the band.
I actually listened to the whole thing, not my cup of tea.
I did like the synth part at the end, and the guitar was ok. Didn't like anything except that., unfortunately.
