...for this on May 15. I've seen Journey enough in my life already. I am going mainly for Pretenders. Wish me luck telling wifey how much I spent.

I would like to see Pretenders.

Weird paring IMHO, you couldn't pay me to see Journey at any point in their career, much less 40 years after their peak.

Get there early, 'way early. I'd recommend a motel room in Vancouver the night before.

We went to see Chris Stapleton at that venue. We left Eugene 4 hours before show time, expecting to be there in about two hours. Portland has outgrown itself, and the gridlock is unbelievable. Got off the "freeway" at showtime. Spent the next couple hours in the line to get in the parking lot. Forgot to leave my pocket knife in the car and lost it to "security". Missed Marty Stuart's opener completely.

We swore off big venues after that (we'll see how long that lasts).

Coming from Seaside, we arrive from the north. We take US 30 from Astoria. It makes a lot of difference if your destination is Vancouver, north PDX or Gresham.

Nice town, Seaside. We used to go there for tournaments when the kids were playing basketball. It took us a couple trips to realize that it was faster to go up the valley and out the Sunset Highway than to go up 101, even though that runs right by the house. That concert day it would've been faster to go the coast way via Seaside!
