This sounds to me like some of Eric Johnson’s Fuzz Face tracks but I can’t find anything specific on what Doyle used...Love the sound but I know nothing about fuzzes. I’ve never owned one (my first pedal was maestro but not count that one) thoughts?

That sounds like a Fuzz a Wah and a flanger on the solo.

Probably a germanium based fuzz. That record came out in 1996, so that might narrow things a little bit. I'd say something from Analogman.

In the video, he mentions that he has a Fuzz Face that was rehoused (in the lower right-hand corner), and that it was currently "melted and dead," because he'd left it in the trunk of his car. So that means it's definitely germanium, and it's possibly what he used back in '96.

Get a Kingmaker fuzz, you can get just about any fuzz tone out of one pedal.

Ok finally found a few articles where he spoke about fuzzes you’re right. He’s a very big FF fan and has a few derivatives on his current board. Since I know so little about fuzz it’s only now clicking for me. I know that I wouldn’t get along with a muff style anything. It will be some time down the road before I get a fuzz but this helped me to identify at least a FF sound.
