    It is certainly not pretty, obligatory headstock break and repair;

    Built 6th September 2001. It has not been babied, there is a Seymour Duncan fitted in the bridge position, whoever did it removed the coil splitting functionality, which is a shame, but the humbuckers sound good.

    I have a 3010SE Black and an AS820 Goldtop. I love them. They play and sound fantastic! I don't gas for a LP or 335 anymore.

    OP, as a UK-based alternative to F+G, you could always try this guy:

    Not cheap (all hand built, own pickups etc etc) but bloody hell, they're great guitars. I played a '59 LP replica that he made and it was staggeringly good.
