For the longest time, mine has been strung up as a bari. Well being that I own a Squier Cab Bari and a Dano bari now, just yesterday i got my normal .10 D'Adds back on it. It is so cool, and sounds so great

+10 Schecter! I bought a Tempest Special because it fit my budget and scratched the “special” itch. I was really nervous as everybody knows Schecter only makes metal guitars. It was so good I followed it up with 2 of their strats and my #1 PT Goldtop. They really do make fantastic axes.

Awesome axe!

The Mod 6 (or 7) was a great guitar, but no one noticed (present company excepted). Even if I had money for another guitar, they never come up for sale.
I've been playing mine this morning , after many years of not.
It's better than I remembered, I may bust it out at the next rehearsal for my Gen X indie-hits coverband

The Mods are out there , I see a couple listed on Reverb right now, but super expensive.
Like these things, I shoulda snapped a couple up when they were like $200

I really shouldn't complain though
Book em, Dano

Mine was one of the blue ones. The tone control was a horrible on/off mud switch, but I could handle that easily today. The pickups were weird to me, but they seem similar to the ones in my Reverend (mini-hums in ‘Trons’ clothing) so I could probably work with that as well. I also wasn’t crazy about the slider switches, as they made quick pickup switching just about impossible, but I think switching to mini-toggles would have made things easier and kept the funky cool factor.

Basically if I’d known them what I do now I’d probably still have it. The weight and size never bothered me (I actually rather liked the size and balance), and the fretboard, while really flat (14” radius if I recall) and wide was really comfortable.

The only thing I hated was the ugly, plastic DIAMOND SERIES badge on the headstock.

Those stock Schechter tron-style pickups? How do they compare to your other tron-styles?
they are the stock "Duncan Designed" tron style pickups. They do not sound very trad-tronny to me, BUT they really kind of have their own special thing going on. I love the sound of them

Is it a weird trick of the light/reflection, or do you have a piece of scotch tape covering up some slide switches there?

It's duct tape.
There is one favored position for ultimate twang/clang, and it's easy to hit those switches while playing, so I taped it up so as not to be jostled and inadvertently switched mid-song

I should really divest myself of this Supro

...being that the Schecter and the Airline really have me covered in anything I could want in a white, oddball quirky-but-cool guitar.
But that neck is to DIE for
