This was a Scatter Lee classic guitar from the guy that showed us all how to be more creative than we thought we could be. I have to make one of those necks!
And h did it again! All the challenges in the top, must be the mojo you build in your guitars!!
Congratulations, and can I stay with you while I hunt the critter down?
Always were, always will be my biggest inspiration to build guitars. Congrats, man!
Thanks everyone, i really did not expect to place this year, tuff to top last year, just built with what i had and what i thought would be a cool guitar, i want to start a new build now but not sure what it will be
i was eating your dust all week of the voting, was like watching a slow horse race
well now you have a reference guitar, i always have to go back to old builds to measure depths and double check stuff
i'm off to stew mac to do some shopping,
Well done on the comp. your threads are always a must watch and you did not disappoint.
Can't wait o see what your next build is going to be
Congrats Scatter, really nice job and love the seams
Absolutely gorgeous guitar!
Congrats! I always wanted to do the reptilecaster, but after seeing yours, I'm not going to try! Man, it's a Killer!
Saw this and thought of you, man!
come on, i'm not that ugly
well went shopping at stu mac with my gift card, got a pound of hide glue, tele bridge and neck pickup flatwork, and a strat pickup flatwork to make some templates from, a tube of binding cement and a piece of string
hot dog, now i need to dig up some wood
i been checking out preeb's strat thead, gotta try building one of them one of these days
too many pages to wade through. Where did this guitar end up? Ebay? Buyer already spec'd?
No, but I thought it might be good inspiration for next year. Forget skinning the gator, just string it up!
But if ya wanna see ugly (and this is entirely IMHO, natch) check out the other guitars at that link
I thought the sculptures were kinda cool, but there doesn't seem to be any reason for them to be guitars....
omg, I do share your humble opinion, those sculpture guitars are horrific
Ewww.....those should not be guitars.
it's just hangin on my wall
