I went to see Joker yesterday. I liked it until the talk show part. Then, I feel like the movie went off the rails. I thought JP was doing a pretty good job and I actually felt sorry for him ( his character). I was expecting things to go a different direction when he was in the bathroom after the shooting and he was doing moves there that were really fluid and I thought he had somehow become “enlightened “ and suddenly knew how to fight. I was looking forward to some hand to hand fight scenes.

Overall, I kinda like Heath Ledgers Joker character better.

As a side note, I positioned myself away from everyone and next to an exit and I kept an eye on anyone coming and going to and from the theater. Sad, huh?

I cant keep up with all these super hero and star wars movies. I'd kinda had enough of Batman and the Joker when I stopped watching the TV show back in the 70's.

I saw the movie and it was sick. And some of it didn't make Cents. Definitely was not what I expected. I think the only rioting they might have is people wanting their money back after that non stop laugh.

Just seen the movie, unlike all the other "super hero" movies Joker was very realistic, a man falling into the depths of insanity in an insane world. Didn't Douglas Adams says something like you'd have to be crazy not to be crazy in a crazy universe?

I thought it excellent, though perhaps the talk show scene was a bit much. The supporting cast was all fantastic. Particularly de niro and the girl who was his girlfriend, but wasn’t. But a challenging film, not for everyone.
