Been wanting to do this and this was the day. I found an antique suitcase that was just big enough for my 8 pedal selection.

Not too hard actually, just need a solid base for the velcro and enough clearance room for the pedals and power supply. I cut out the pieces that are not needed, and fastened the 4 corners.

Also note, that I'm basically using the suitcase upside down so that the sides aren't taller than the pedals.

I used a Hiree power supply from Amazon.com it's $20.00 right now, it's not isolated or anything fancy, but I don't have a noise issue, so it's good enough.

    Thanks for looking!

Looks cool, I would line the inside of the lid with fake gold rolex's and maybe sell a few to pay for beers after the gig.
If business picks up you could expand with a matching brown trench coat. :)

Great idea! I have a massive board, that is basically a 16”x36” slab of pine, nicely finished with some feet installed - no case; no cover.

My current compliment of pedals only takes up a little more than half the space, so I’ve been wanting to shrink it. Looks like I need to go thrift store shopping with a measuring tape!

Nice, I did a similar thing with a small wooden silverware case and put pins in the hinges so that the lid can be removed. Its my grab and go; holds 3-4 pedals on a daisy chain. BD2, vfe tremolo and eqd dispatch master for the Muchxs champ and mia peavey tele.

    Sold!!!

I have an old metal sided (hello 90s) brief case I bought way back when. I had used to to house leftover pedals, di's, an old Zoom Bass pedal and such. I have thought about making a unit like you did but was a little reluctant. But yours looks so cool so I will have to just dive in and do it!

My son made one of these several years ago. I think it's his backup board now...

    Also using it upside down...

I like that vintage suitcase style. It's got more headroom. Ideally I would want to raise the 2nd row of pedals about 3/4".

I found out that Fender makes suitcases that match your guitar case. They are really nice. All Black with red velvet inside!
