Is anyone here using the Sarno Revelation for guitar? I found one used and grabbed it. Super nice clean tones (especially for Tele) and unique features. The variable input impedance control lets you subtlety adjust high end. Most guitarists would use the SMS Classic while the Revelation is tailored for steel guitar.

I’m thinking about finding a 1U power amp to create a lightweight rig, with a 1x12 cab. Any suggestions? It really sounds great driving the power amp of a Mesa Mark IIA, but I loose the Mesa preamp and gain a lot of weight.

No personal experience with this product, but ART makes solid amps. 560 watts into 8Ω should cover most bases.

Thanks. I have also seen the Sampson Servo models. No fan as compared with the ART, maybe not an issue for live performance

Put this together and gigged with my Tele on Saturday. Awesome clean tones and very pedal friendly with Lovepedal Black Magic Zen drive and Valve Reamer. Speaker is Tone Tubby 40/40.

The ART is very heavy, but I got a great deal on it used. 560 W bridged, I pulled down the attenuator to avoid any accidents.

Couldn't you just alternate between channel one and channel two? Still plenty (plenty, plenty) of power on tap for a single 40W speaker, right? Where in the signal chain is the attenuation coming in?

A beautiful rig no matter what, I just love minutiae.

I could use one channel but just preferred bridge. The attenuation is on the power amp itself, front panel knob. I believe it limits the output because the input LEDs don’t change with the attenuation knob. Shows in dB, you can look up/ calculate the attenuation to an output power level and make sure you don’t fry your speaker.
