I lost my oldest male Doxie two months ago ....
My other two Doxies knew something was wrong.
They would do their whimper howl every night for almost a week.

I understand the heaviness that lingers in the home.
    :(

I'm so so sorry for your loss. :( If I can make one suggestion: if you're able to, get another puppy to replace her asap. You'll be glad you did. I know I was when my last Chocolate Lab died suddenly and tragically out of nowhere in 2017. I barely made it 2 weeks. Getting a puppy was THE BEST move I could've made.

After burying my daughter and only child in 2014, my grandpa in 2016, and my best dog that I had from the day she was born(Summer '05) in 2017, I was a wreck. Having a dog was the only thing that kept me sane at the time.

If you can, get a puppy. Soon. It'll, help the healing process IMMENSELY.

I'm so sorry to read about your loss. It sounds like the whole island has lost a good friend. Nothing we can say will make you feel better, but time heals all wounds. Hang in there, and enjoy the other animals in your household. They need you now more than ever.

There are a thousand emotions I would rather feel than the loss of a pet. So sorry for your loss.

So sorry to read about Sara. My thoughts sent. We lost our 2 Westies in a short space of time, and it felt like the world had ended. We left it 3 1/2 years before we got another dog, well two. Me I would have got one sooner, but my wife couldn't cope with all the death surrounding us. I lost my dad, my mum and then my brother. The teens were an utter b******, for us, and I'm glad we're through it. Getting new pups has put a whole new focus on our lives. It takes time to heal, but when you're through, you have the best of memories of Sara Lee, and you will be strong enough to move on. Best of thoughts sent,
