Yikes! My dad pitchpoled (endo’d) the Hobie Cat to the tune of several broken ribs from slamming into the mast. OUCH.I had a buddy who was up on Lake Isabella back when there was actual water in it, who was passing motorboats in one of those things. He was what he called trapping out, and something broke in the mast, a cable wrapped around his leg. He ended up breaking his leg, sinking the boat, and nearly drowning, but he always said it was a heck of a ride there for a little while.
