Saddles not moving forward

There’s a problem with my new 3-saddle bridge concerning the intonation screws (full string tension):

If I turn the screw counterclockwise, I just get the screw to be hanging out but the saddle is still in its initial place. I need to tap the screw back to move the saddle accordingly. Any ideas?

Tune the strings slack before adjusting. Then tighten them again. I know that's obvious, but it's the only thing I trust.

You need some of those ball point pen springs. Or loosen strings, push way forward and intonate toward the bridge.

Thanks…but what‘s the difference to the regular springs?

The down pressure of the strings is far stronger than the springs. Loosening the string before adjust not only allow the saddle to more easily extend, but also keeps the height adjustment screws from scaring the bridge surface.

Nothing. Push on the adjustment screw while turning them.

Your saddle height screws are biting into the bridge they're resting on due to string tension. Doing this is a good way to round the heads and or strip them.
