If any of this is true, what a manipulative scumbag. At best.

And I’ve been a fan since Whiskeytown. Plus his new single kinda sucks.

C’mon - who even uses one of those..?

I never cared for his writing, but whatever

let’s get access to all our private records and run detailed public stories about them with accusations of sub-criminal behavior so we can hurt people we don’t like or regret interacting with

    sounds like a plan

You know it seems to me that if you're 44 years old and you have to keep asking the person if they are REALLY 18, then dude, you are doing it very very very wrong.

He started sexting the girl when she was FOURTEEN

Or better yet, let's just allow child sex and abuse to go unreported. And if five women get together to tell basically the same story, we should just ignore it. Sounds like a plan. A bad plan.

no, that’s a very good plan if you go to the police

the NYT way is to try the case in public opinion, which will make it harder for it to come to trial (if that was even the intent)

max, I have relatives who were abused. they needed the law, not the papers

I've always thought he was a B grade Eddie Money.

Well gee, I guess I’ll wait for the courts to decide if I want to send my underage musician daughter around Ryan Adams. I mean, I can trust him right? He’s famous, of course I can!

I don’t know the guy, but I’m pretty sure that where there’s smoke, there’s fire, especially when many women tell essentially the same story.

Of course there’s that other “plausible” option: they all got together and decided to make similar stories up about the guy.

    Right.

I can’t even imagine what a “B grade” Eddie Money would be like .

That’s like needlessly adding “smelly” in front of turd.

Lastly, I thought Eddie Money was the “B grade” Eddie Money...

Oddly he mentions being compared to R. Kelly in one of his texts with the underage girl.

Always thrown at me with a wink and a "you'll love this guy". Never got him at all. Not a bitski. Not saying I'm glad to hear this awfulness, but I've always (secretly) judged those on his fan boat. God awful. Saw him in Toronto open for Beth Orton 16 or 17 years ago. She crushed him live. She slapped the Hostess fruit pie out of his hand, picked it up from his open lunchbox, chomped a big mouthful, and called his mom a bad name as the crumbs blew into his face.

Hey, it’s tough to be a dirtbag these days. Lotta dudes rightfully looking over their shoulders these days .

Is there a distinction between Aziz Ansari and Harvey Weinstein ? Of course there is but it ain’t going to be hashed out right now...

One of the least plausible things in the world is a woman coming out as a victim just for the hell of it and/or making it up because they crave all the subsequent attention.

I don't know who Ryan Adams is, but I do know that he's not Bryan Adams.

    No sir.

There is plenty of great music these days.
I stumble across plenty of it, all the time.

None of it on the pop music radio, to be sure.
And definitely none of it on pop country music radio.

    But it's out there.

    But this guy, Ryan Adams?

    Never heard of him.
    Really.
