    Great post thank you. That RL Burnside thing he mentions. I really want to learn that and/or this.

    How do they get this tone?...its a great sound.

    There's a guy who posted a youtube demonstration of a similar (raw and primitive but cool and bluesey fingerstyle) rhythm technique here, just him and his guitar, which was self-made. I believe he was from another land...wonder if this rings a bell for anyone? I've spent a lot of time scrolling thru old "Twanger Central" posts looking for his stuff (of course it's not necessarily posted in that subforum)
