    So, RWC 2019 starts soon.

Tickets were hard to come by, but we (the family) are going to four games. Argentina vs France, Russia vs Samoa, Italy vs South Africa, and alas, only one All Blacks game - New Zealand vs Namibia.

    Anyone going?

Hah! Coverage here in NZ is a flippin joke! Our regular Sky Sports Lost the viewing rights to a new setup called Spark Sport. They also lost the EPL football (soccer) and a bunch of other things. 20 bucks a month to use their streaming service. I’ve got it for the soccer, and there’s been a few issues.

As for the RWC - they added another sucker punch - you now have to pay another 90 bucks just for the tournament! Freakin joke - especially for New Zealand! Supposed to be our national game, and it’s absolutely revered over here!

As for me, I don’t give a toss for the rugby, but I’m not happy about the whole football issue.

checkout cricfree dot sc .. it's a kiwi run semi pirate streaming service, you'll be able to watch every game maybe..;)

just click off any extra windows/pop ups and scroll down to see what's playing......... ad block stops most of them...

We got a full coverage here and I've played the sport for 10 years.

Good to know. I’m looking for alternatives for watching - mainly for live commentary. We have streaming via J-Sports, but the commentary is in Japanese only and runs something like “He passed the ball. That was good. The other man is running fast. That’s good too.” Seriously.

    I wish I was...…..

My wife had at least 30 happy visits to the country, when she was working and I always wanted to accompany her- but never managed to do it.

I'll be another of those disappointed guys, sitting on the couch, beer in hand, wondering what's going through the Coach's mind, when he picks that crazy team..... ;):rolleyes:o_O

    Hi again

It occurs to me, many of the Americas contingent here, and others, probably know next to nothing about this topic. For any interested, and with Amazon Prime, I recommend this documentary. Even if you have no great interest, it’s a pretty good documentary in its own right.

I'll look into streaming the WC.
Rugby is much better than the NFL.
I wish it was popular on here.

I’ve noticed watching a couple college and NFL games that they are starting to recruit rugby players as they are some of the better kickers out there

I just realized i replied to 7 day old post

Whew we got through in the end.. Fiji led for most of the game until we got on top late in the second half...

A good game to get the cobwebs out, those Fijians run fast and hit hard....

    Oz 39-21 in the end...

Trev, we don't give a ****e about Rugby, such a p.. poor game. But I do hope NZ will win.
P.S.. My nephew plays this game so I understand it. A heap of stubby , fast guys, throwing the the ball- yet you call it Football!! Even GWS a Sydney team is in the AFL ( Australian Rules Football ) will be in the AFL Grand Final next Saturday. That's 100,000 at the MCG, millions watching, expect great entertainment, and a crowd at a stadium the biggest third in the world. Most of the other states don't even recognize Rugby whatever. C'mom Trev ,embrace it as THE great Australian sport. Certainly no offense to you. Just get into AFL.
BTW I have heard ladies on TV say that the players develop better bodies in our sport, not short, stumpy guys.;)
