So, I have heard plenty of talk about Roy Buchanan on this forum and I have checked out the odd song (as I usually do when I am not familiar with guitarists). In my mind he went from being really good to AMAZING after watching this:

I guess I wasn't listening to the right songs before and didn't know how capable

I'm in the minority here because I am not a fan. His fast playing is so sloppy. If I saw a guy that wasn't a legend play like that my first thought would be "slow down buddy."

I got to see him play once in Oxford Ohio for like five bucks in the seventies. He was one of the best there is!

There are two kinds of people and that's okay: those who don't like Roy and those I want to have a beer with.

Seen him and John McLaughlin together in a small club in New York
Both are equals. Roy plying is emotional

That guy was amazing. Emotion, like mentioned and boatloads of feeling, that had to come from somewhere really special.
