I havent used the rattle cans but I have used thier flakes on a few other projects including my first tele build. They work very well and look awsome.

Well that pic doesnt do it justice. If you look on the photo gallery under cutom builders you can enlarge it and get a better view.

Hmm really digging the "sublime green". I've heard flake or is it metallic finishes are harder to do well. I do have a strat body I'm going to refinish in the next couple of months. Would a nitro clear coat work with this paint? If no one knows I'll shoot them an email.

Really nice. What else did you use for finishing the body? Grain filler, primer, clear, buff.....

I think a tele with their Greasy Black would be sick! Maybe because I've been dreaming of a metallic black tele for some time now.......

I used a grain filler to start. I then put a 4 good coats of blocking primer. Most or that gets sanded off for leveling. Then one coat of epoxy primer thinned out as a sealer. The color is a HOK pearl pink with the roth metalflake in the clear. The HOK clear laid out so nice that I didnt bother wet sanding and buffing it. I put the guitar together so my girlfriend could play it. I figure I can always pull it apart and buff it but it may be a little more work now that it is fully cured. I have used thier flake on a few prjects including a 1967 VW Dunebuggy. I am very happy with the results.

If I was going to buy a couple cans of this and spray over a Squier body with the thick poly on it would I need to completely remove the finish or just really rough it up by sanding?

The body in question is Oly White and I would probably do a silver if that lends any help to the process
