I love the roomba. I bought a lower priced one about a year ago and found out what it could do.
I took it back to the store the next day and bought a top of the line unit.
Empties itself, won't fall down the stairs and mapped the house so you can do one room only.
The coolest, most useful gadget ever.

We have two of the basic models...one on each level of the house. They hit it at 0730 MWF. We only block them from the two bedrooms with fringed rugs. It is amazing the amount of dirt they pick up.

We have a knock-off I bought on sale just to try it out. It was $149 well spent; it does a decent job on our hardwood floored rooms, removing dog hair and more dust than you’d guess was there. I still hit the entire house with our old Dyson upright because we have quite a bit of carpet & some area rugs.
A friend down in Florida had an interesting Roomba misadventure. He took in a young Labradoodle named “Wags” when its owner, one of his friends, crashed & burned. I was fishing with him one day when he got this text from his wife:
“Marty, Wags pooped in the house and the Roomba was running and spread it all over the place”!
He said cleaning up the house wasn’t too bad but dealing with the Roomba was kind of difficult.
