    Oh man I love this!

They look kinda happy, even after all that crap at Get back session in Twickenham. Btw, when I went to London for the first time, there were only 3 targets:

    1) Abbey road zebra crossing
    2) this house
    3) ”Poirot’s house”

Rest of the time I was getting familiarized to real ales.

    Edit: stupid typos/better spelling

It’s a shame we don’t see Billy Preston too much in this video. He gave a lot to this and many other songs.

There are far too many dead guys in this video:

    Lennon
    Harrison
    Mal Evans
    Billy Preston

Huge loss to the world. But their efforts keeps us younger generations still going. My kids love the Beatles, they’re 11 and 8. And they’ll hopefully relay the torch to the further generations.

...which is acknowledged on the Get Back / Don’t Let Me Down single, which is credited to “The Beatles with Billy Preston”. By the time the album came out he’d been downgraded.

BTW this song is the main reason I bought the Let It Be...Naked album, but it is a great alternative version of Let It Be through and through, with some bonus Billy Preston on The Long And Winding Road especially.

I've always liked these "Roof-Top" videos of the Beatles. They were a darn great band, one of my all-time favorites. Here, they were set up like an old-school bar band...each into his own amp and no mics hanging on them or pushed in front of the speakers. Great volume control out of those Fender Twins and Bassman. Looks like volume was easily kept under control...nobody holding their ears, writhing in pain.
Great band, great musicianship and great song.

Great "concert" - stripped back, elemental, rock n' roll. One of the many reasons I love the Beatles.

Apparently Paul and/or John were wanting to 'get back' to the simpler band days and way of playing. Note 'One After 909' is on this album, which they played way back in the early 60s. Yeah, this rooftop short set is just awesome. The whole album is like listening to the masters of their craft in their element, so relaxed but still just right.

Well, the ...Naked version is! The original release is, as George Martin said, “Produced by George Martin; Over-produced by Phil Spector”. Still good, but plenty of overdubbed layers over the top, so to speak...

Maybe it's just my nostalgia of the moment ( the end of the Beatles, or near it), the R&B/soulful nature of the song+ Billy Preston, played live, and just an honest love message, but IMO this is just one of their best!

Lennon's songwriting and voice are so strong here.

I would play loud and proud from any roof that would hold my band any time they would let me.
