Hey, all. Hope this finds you well.

Getting some kayaks for the fam, so we'll need roof-rack crossbars for the fam bus (a 2005 Honda Odyssey).

Any manufacturers/brands you recommend? Sturdy enough to be safe is the only issue, though sturdy + economical would be very nice.

    Thanks!

I'm a decades satisfied Yakima customer. If you have a not so new car you can often find bargains on older tower and clip versions.

Roscoe, is there an Odyssey specific enthusiast website? I'd defer to those folks. I've been very pleased with Yakimas when the car seemed to call for one, but the Saabs use a vehicle specific rack with a rectangular cross section and I'd be dumb to use a Yakima on that.

I have Thule brand, and, have used them on a couple of different cars over the last twenty years.

Put Thule’s on my daughter’s Subaru Crosstrek. They seem to be made for the Subaru side rails. Or the side rails are made for Thule’s

Yakima goes on sale for 20% off a couple of times a year at REI. Sturdy, safe, well engineered.
