What an actor! I just saw him on Netflix in „startup“. That guy is a really heavyweight. And an unmistakable face.

No offense to David Harbour, but Ron Perlman is the one and only Hellboy.

Also, anyone see him in The City of Lost Children?

Phew, thought this was going to be a note about him passing. It'd be too soon. He's been great in everything I've seen him in... total scene-stealer and a great voice too. Blade II, Hellboy, Enemy at the Gates... hell, he even narrates the Fallout games.

Never knew he has billions of voice credits on animated films.

Especially considering the difference between the first season of SOA and his last… It was pretty obvious age was catching up with him.

I ran into him shopping on Melrose in the early 2000s. Was star struck for sure. He does big stuff but was also in a number of modern classic foreign films like Del Toro’s Cronos.

I first knew of him on Beauty and the Beast opposite Linda Hamilton but City of Lost Children is the role that cemented it for me.

City of Lost Children is a must see.
I think that's the first time I became aware of him.

I love Ron Perlman, he raises the level of everything he's in. Check out his prolific filmography sometime -- my dude is putting in the work!

It's a real shame that Guillermo del Toro's third Hellboy movie fell through, the first two were fantastic. I have to tip my hat to Perlman who apparently refused to reprise the Hellboy role out of loyalty to Guillermo del Toro.

Oh yeah, big Jeunet fan here. I loved Delicatessen. My intro to him was Amelie, probably like lots of people.

I didn't really like amelie poulain. But it is a good movie. It has that Jeunet color scheme to it that only he does.
