Just a small story and a big thank You to Ron once again - I have two of his babies, and even had one on sale here a month or two ago - going through hard times and needing money badly and all that. I wasn't playing it much lately (having five other high-end electrics), it mostly lay in the case.
Than I took it out of the case just to check if everything was fine. I knew that instant I would miss her very dearly, if it indeed would sell and go. Then I somehow sorted out the finances and the Buster thankfully didn't sell.

Since that time it's the only guitar I play again (with the other Kirn getting played in the other location I frequently am at). It has been, and still is the most inspiring guitar, because of it's simplicity, class and honesty. It's the only guitar which after six hours of playing at whatever tempo doesn't make my hands hurt. It's the coolest looking guitar to me. And it's the guitar that doesn't "humiliate" all the other axes - I don't want to sell any of them, I love each and every of them, but they all stand there beautifully while the Buster gets played. I take different guitars to gigs, but one of the Kirns is always present there.

    Thank You, Ron

P.S. BTW, that's the original thread with the two beauties, pics are on pages one and two.

I'm glad you didn't sell it. Before I decided to get myself a Barnbuster I spent days looking at pictures of them on the internet. This is still my favorite picture of a BB and helped me convince that I had to have one.

    Kirn BarnBuster in progress.

Ron sent me these today. I've read some fancy descriptions about Ron's work. I don't think I could write like that. Just do a search on this or the strat forum and you will see.

This Tele is gonna be redonkulas. I can't wait to see it in person.

    Hardtail Ron Kirn Strat Style

Received yesterday my Ron Kirn hardtail Strat. What a great guitar!

    Alder body
USACG maple neck with maple fingerboard, soft V profile, 22 frets
    Gotoh hardtail bridge
    Gotoh vintage-style tuners
    Ron Kirn pickups
'80s THE STRAT Tone Clone rotary switch (for non-stock pickup combinations; from Deaf-Eddie)

Guitar is called "Rosso Corsa", the red of Ferrari's. Here are some photos--the first three are courtesy of Ron:

I documented the build in this thread over at Strat-Talk in the Non-Fender S-Style Guitar Forum - there are more photos there: http://www.strat-talk.com/forum/non...2-ron-kirn-signature-s-style-rosso-corsa.html

    Hey guys,
Just realised that I never ended up posting anything after my black strat arrived.
So, Of course it is a fantastic guitar. Terrific craftsmanship, excellent playability and she looks purty too.
So here are some photos, excuse the lighting and the amateurish photography:

Oh, man, do I always get a little knot in my stomach when I see a guitar leaning like that against an amp. That's a really classy-looking guitar, though.
