and Vay.... ba dump bum.
Thank you for blazing a trail for me and others to follow. Bring on the single malts! Yummy
and I do believe I overlooked. . .
A Merry Christmas to you all....
Look who I found out in the blogosphere today!
Yep, I remember that one. After all the science came the reality of the situation. At the end of the day, if you want to eat, the customer has to be kept happy. Now the astute entrepreneurs will start gold leafing 3 cent caps.
With Ron's templates sadly no longer available, where would one look to get a telecaster template that is as correct as his (*he says, kicking himself for dragging his feet it buying them when they were available*)?
There were some for sale in the TDPRI classifieds
If someone would take a decent photograph of one from above sitting on square/graph paper I would be happy to CAD it up and make it available for free as a pdf that could be easily laser cut by ponoko. Maybe not as much mojo as a copy of a copy of an original body but it would make the templates immortal! Which is kind of cool.
I didn't even think of that. Thanks, I'll keep an eye out over there.
Fletcher sells them. Not sure of cost of shipping from Australia.
If one needed a template.... here's an option. No affiliation...
I have Ron's Tele, Strat, and JM templates, but I've also purchased from Potvin guitars. Shipping is a killer for me, though, he's in Canada. Makes a fine template.
It's sad to know those templates won't be available but as it's said, all good things... I'm glad to have a set of your tele templates Ron, router hump and all. I was still living in Jax eight years or so ago, when I bought them and Pierre actually drove over and hand delivered them to me, saving me shipping costs, top notch guy! You continue to inspire sir, thanks for all you do.
