Great images of the golden era Stones. The Stones are part of my life, always have been.

    Thanks man.
That album was magical. If they'd never done anything before or after they'd still be one of the greatest of all time.

One of my favorite Stones tune to play and “sing”. One of so many great songs from my undisputed desert island album. Not even close...

I love that song...I discovered it at exactly the right time if my life—my first “rock bottom” moment, which I found out was actually a plateau...I hit true rock bottom six years later. Both times that album helped me through.

One of the most captivating ' wish you were there' moments of Keith Richards ' Life' Stones autobiography (IMO) is the.Exile on Main Street era in France.

I can't do it justice, but Keith describes an almost wonderful routine of songwriting/jamming/recording at the Chateau, boating up and down the Seine, looking for heroin in Morocco or Algiers, Gram Parsons, lots of partying, etc.
Real rock star life going on here while making great rock and Country.

Exile - a desert island disc for me.
And unlike some other records that, at a milestone anniversary, got remastered w/ bonus cuts, Bonus Remastered Exile was even more appealing to me.
Most anniversary re-issues w/ bonus tracks under-whelm me.

Al Perkins on pedal steel, was probably overdubbed in LA...

"Joe's got a cough, sounds kind a rough,
Yeah, and the codeine to fix it.
    Doctor prescribes, drug store supplies,
Who's gonna help him to kick it?"

cut up technique lyrics inspired by William S. Burroughs on this one, and a great groove...love the intro...
